Mozilla ได้ออกตัวอัพเดตของ Firefox 3 ลำดับที่ 8 แล้วครับ ทั้งนี้ ได้ปล่อยตัวอัพเดตออกมาให้ดาวน์โหลดกันเร็วกว่ากำหนดเดิมเล็กน้อย จากกำหนดเดิม 1 เมษา ตรงกับ April Fool Day พอดี ทั้งนี้ไม่ใช่ว่า Mozilla จะเกรงว่าประชาชีจะนึกว่า Mozilla อ่ะ ล้อเล่งง อะไรอย่างนั้น แต่เพื่อการแก้ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับช่องโหว่ด้านความปลอดภัยที่พบในเวอร์ชัน 3.0.7 ที่สำคัญและมีระดับความร้ายแรงสูงสุด 2 จุด คือ “Arbitrary code execution through XUL element” และ “XSL Transformation vulnerability” ซึ่งแฮกเกอร์สามารถเจาะ และใช้เป็นช่องทางในการเข้าควบคุมเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้ได้ แหม!! น่ากลัวโครต

และ Mozilla ได้เปิดให้ดาวน์โหลด (เวอร์ชันสำหรับ Windows นั้นมีขนาดประมาณ 7.1 MB) ได้เมื่อวันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2552 ที่ผ่านมาครับ
ส่วน 3.0.9 ซึ่งเป็นการอัพเดตตามปกติ จะตามมาช่วงกลางเดือนเมษานี้

ว่าแล้วก็ไปอัพเดตกันเลยดีกว่าครับ

และแล้ว ก็มาถึงการอัพเดท Firefox กันอีกครั้ง อัพเดทครั้งนี้เป็นเวอร์ชั่น 3.0.7 แล้วครับ โดยได้ทำการแก้ไขในเรื่องความปลอดภัยและความเสถียรเหมือนเช่นเคย บั๊กหลายๆ ตัวที่เคยพบเจอ ได้ถูกแก้ไขไปแล้ว (แม้จะไม่หมด และอาจจะเจอต่อไป)

คุณสามารถทำการอัพเดตได้โดยระบบ Automated Update หรือจะดาวน์โหลดมาติดตั้งใช้งานได้ที่ Mozilla Get Firefox 3 (3.0.7, English (US), Windows (7.1MB))

แก้ไขอะไร และมีอะไรใหม่บ้างนะ ใน Firefox 3.0.7

Firefox 3.0.7 fixes several issues found in Firefox 3.0.6:

  • Fixed several security issues.
  • Fixed several stability issues.
  • Official releases for the Estonian, Kannada, and Telugu languages are now available.
  • Items in the “File” menu show as inactive after using the “Print” item from that menu – switching to a new tab restores them (bug 425844). This issue has been fixed.
  • For some users, cookies would appear to go “missing” after a few days (bug 444600).
  • Mac users of the Flashblock add-on, experienced an issue where sound from the Flash plug-in would continue to play for a short time after closing a tab or window (bug 474022).
  • Fixed several issues related to accessibility features.
